This new thing is going horribly.   As my daughter grows my time shrinks even more.  S'OK, I love her and am happy to give her the time she deserves.

I did have a BOMB show up on my doorstep the other day.

This is going to be a new section for me to help avoid cluttering up the front page with news of recent events or random musings.  I think I'm going to attempt to style my posts after MetaFilter by offering lots of links to support my thoughts.

11-22-2007   The Holliday Season is officially here.

Thanksgiving was a bust this year.  Went over to the in-laws for a few minutes but Chris was really sick with a migraine to start with so it was just to say hi to a few folks and of course get in on the food.  I felt like this by the time I left.

09-09-2007  Happy Birthday Baby!  Amazing that our daughter is already one year old today!!!  We're having a party for some family and a few friends today so the house is clean, food ordered, party arrangements done, now it's just time to sit back and enjoy the day.

I can't believe it's been a year already.  Here's a treat for you:

Cutest baby ever!!!

start 'em young!

08-06-08     Well this news section isn't working out so well.  I just haven't made the time for it the way I wanted to.  I am going to start a dedicated fish tank section in the near future with photos and info about each fish.

7-1-2007    The tank is now set up and cycling nicely.  Only 4 fish made it out of 10 we started with which is why we used cheap fish for this phase.  Brian, our fish dude, should be by on Friday with a few new fish and more live rock.  By December our tank should be rocking and rolling with all kind of beautiful animals well established.

6-11-07     Our new 95 gallon salt water tank is in.  Pictures to follow as soon as we get some fish, which should be this afternoon.

6-08-07    The baby is crawling all over the place.  If you are a friend and haven't seen the pics, email me and I'll send you the super-doper secret link to all the photos.

In other news, my new AlpineStars RaceRep suit was backordered again.  Now I'm being told 6/28/07 which is a bummer considering I was told by the president of Motostrano that it would probably here hear earlier than the estimated ship date of 6-09-2007, today in fact.  This is their top of the line suit, in blue.  I was going to have a custom suit made but opted for an off the rack suit since the fit was good and I saved enough money to buy all new supermoto gear.

5-20-07    So here we go with muh first entry and it's more of a rant towards the haters.  I'm not going to provide links to the threads because I do not want to fan the flames.

To me, a proper motorbike should have character.  It should not only work well, it should feel good too.  Ultimately the bike is just a tool to be used for a specific task at hand but I think it can and should be so much more.  I'm very fortunate in that I've had the chance to ride quite a few different bikes in my time and I've figured out what works for me and what I enjoy spending time on.

I only mention this because I've read a lot of Ducat & KTM bashing for vibrating and shaking too much.  Too me that's the personality of the bike coming through.  It's letting you know it's alive and talking to you.  Some of the Honda's I've owned have almost put me to sleep.  The motors were silky smooth and made good power, it left me wanting for any sign of personality and I was left feeling uninspired most of the time.  The Ducati has it's own language.  From the shake of the dry clutch plates to the menacing growl emanating from the Italian carbon fiber pipes, the bike oozes personality.
